The dominant soils are moderately deep Melanic ALbic Luvisols (Sandy Prairies), dark brown in color, sandy loam texture, imperfectly drained and very low fertility. Associated are Albic Umbrian Luvisols (Sandy Grasslands), very deep, dark brown in color, sandy loam texture, imperfectly drained and extremely low fertility. The vegetation is summer meadow, but better than that of the other groups in zone 8, which allows for a complete cycle and wintering. Agriculture can be done with intense conservation measures.
